Why is Shakepay only available in Canada?
Shakepay operates as a regulated Money Services Business (MSB) and must adhere to specific laws and regulations in each country.
Currently, Shakepay is licensed to operate exclusively in Canada, which is why the platform is only accessible to Canadian residents.
Can I use Shakepay while living or traveling outside of Canada?
If you're traveling outside of Canada, your Shakepay account may experience limited functionality.
You can continue to exchange while abroad if:
You have accessed your Shakepay account from within Canada in the past 90 days; and
You are not in a restricted region.
If you don’t meet these conditions, you may see the message: “This action can’t be performed from outside of Canada.”
