To update the e-Transfer profile nickname to your full legal name to match your Shakepay account please follow these instructions.
Scotiabank requires nickname changes to be completed on your desktop browser as the Scotiabank app doesn’t have this option.
Sign in to Scotiabank Online Banking at https://www.scotiabank.com/
Select ‘Transfers’ in the navigation bar on top
Select ‘Interac e-Transfer®’
Select ‘Send money’
Under ‘Your details’, select ‘Update’
Enter the new name, then select ‘Save’
Once completed, you can send us a reminder on the e-Transfer and we'll have it deposited in no time.
To send a reminder from Scotiabank:
Select ’Back” in the lower left
Select ‘History & Pending’
Select ‘Resend notification’ for the e-Transfer in question
