Heads up, you won’t be able to send money out from your account for 24 hours after changing your phone number or email address.
Updating phone number from the mobile app
Follow these steps to update your phone number in the app:
Open the Shakepay app and sign in.
Click the settings wheel at the bottom right of your screen
Click Account settings.
Click on Profile information.
Tap the Change button next to your phone number.
Enter your new phone number. Make sure it's a Canadian mobile number not a VoIP number.
You'll just need to follow the steps and get your new phone number verified, all done!
Updating phone number from the website
Follow these steps to update your phone number on the website:
Log in to your Shakepay account on the web with your shaketag (username) and password.
Click the Profile page on the left side menu.
Click Change phone number.
Enter your new phone number. Make sure it's a Canadian mobile number not a VoIP number.
Verify your phone number with the code received by SMS.
Updating email address from the mobile app
Follow these steps to update your email address in the app:
Open the Shakepay app and sign in.
Click the settings wheel at the bottom right of your screen
Click Account settings.
Click on Profile information.
Tap the Change button next to your email address
You'll just need to follow the steps and get your new email address verified, all done!
Updating email address from the website
Follow these steps to update your email address on the website:
Log in to your Shakepay account on the web with your shaketag (username) and password.
Click the Profile page on the left side menu.
Click Change email address.
Enter your new email address along with the password.
Tap on the verify link in the email sent to your new email address to complete the switch.
You will be able to change the email address linked to your account once, if you want to change it again, please contact the support team.
