Who is eligible?
To be able to shake to collect daily sats, there are 3 conditions:
you need to be referred or refer another customer
the referral code must be inputted when you or your friend signs up
your account has to be verified
ShakingSats will be activated when a customer is referred and verifies their account or refers another customer who verifies their account.
ShakingSats is available for both business and personal accounts.
How to Shake to collect daily sats?
To earn daily free Satoshi's (sats) via ShakingSats, follow these steps:
Open the Shakepay app and log in
Shake your phone while on the Shakepay home screen until you receive a pop up letting you know your shake was registered.
Open the app and shake your phone once each day to earn free sats and build your shaking streak! The more consecutive days you shake, the higher the amount of sats you will receive.
If you fail to shake your device on any calendar day before midnight EST, the next time you shake your device you will return to Day 1 of your streak. Shakepay operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST), so be mindful of time zone differences to avoid shaking too late.
You should be able to shake your device, as long as you are connected to the Internet!
What are the ShakingSats rewards?
The maximum sats per shake depends on your reward status:
Base: 10 sats/day
Bright: Up to 100 sats/day
Blue: Up to 500 sats/day
The value still grows with your shake streak, but the cap now depends on your status.
How do I see my current ShakingSats streak?
Follow these steps to view your current ShakingSats streak:
Open the Shakepay app and log in.
Look at the top right corner next to the flame emoji.
Click the flame emoji at the top right corner.
You will see a checkmark next to each day you shook.
Note: You can also press on the "Shake for daily bitcoin!" banner!
I lost my streak 😢
Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to reinstate lost streaks.
We know how devastating losing your streak can be so here are our top tips for keeping a streak alive:
Shake multiple times each day! If you shake and see the "Too much shakin" message you know that your shake registered for the day and you can rest easy until tomorrow.
After you shake, check your Shakepay BTC wallet to see that it registered and you earned your reward. You can filter transactions by ShakingSats to easily view if your latest shake has been logged.
Check if your Bitcoin balance increased after shaking. If no change occurred, your shake might not have been registered.
Update your 2FA method to an authenticator app to ensure you can log in, even without cell phone service. Note: you will still need an internet connection in order for a shake to be recorded
Troubleshooting tips
I can't shake to collect daily sats!
If you are unable to shake to collect daily sats, please check the following considerations:
Are you referred or did you refer someone? ShakingSats will be activated when a customer is referred and verifies their account or refers another customer who verifies their account.
Is your account verified? To enable ShakingSats, your account needs to be fully verified.
Are you connected to the Internet? Make sure you are connected to the Internet when shaking.
Is your account limited? Sometimes, when accounts are limited, you won't be able to shake. Kindly open a support ticket and click "My account is limited" to resolve the issue.
If you have successfully been ShakingSats in the past and are encountering issues, please try the following steps:
Log out of your Shakepay app completely, then log back in and try again.
Make sure your Shakepay app is up to date and on the latest version. This can be done by searching for Shakepay in the app store to see if an update is available for installation.
Toggle between WiFi and data (LTE, 4G, 5G) and attempt ShakingSats on both.
Test your phone's accelerometer. Some devices may have hardware issues detecting motion. You may want to use a diagnostic app to ensure your phone's motion sensors are functioning correctly.

Why wasn't my shake registered even though I shook my phone?
Your shake may not have been registered if it occurred too close to or after midnight EST. Ensure you always shake earlier in the day to avoid this issue. Also verify you have a proper internet connection when shaking.
What should I do if the Shake feature requires multiple attempts?
This could be due to app issues or hardware constraints. Try logging out and back in, switching networks, or updating your app to its latest version. Using diagnostic apps to test your phone's motion sensors may also help identify if there's a hardware limitation.
