You can follow these steps to install your Shakepay Card on your Apple Pay wallet:
Update your app to the latest version.
Open the Shakepay app and log in.
Click the Shakepay Card tab.
Click on Add to Apple wallet.
Tap on Continue.
Tap on Add to iPhone.
Verify your name and the last 4 digits of your card.
Click Confirm.
Troubleshoot and tips
The troubleshooting section provides solutions to issues you might face while setting up or using your Shakepay Card with Apple Pay. Addressing verification and setup requirements will ensure smooth usage with Apple Pay.
I'm unable to add my card to my Apple Pay wallet!
If you are not able to add your card to Apple Pay with our previous steps, you can try to add your card manually.
Shakepay requires verification via an automated phone system where the call must originate from your registered phone number with caller ID enabled. This is a security measure to ensure the authenticity of the verification process.
Follow these steps to add your card manually to Apple Pay:
Open the Shakepay app and go to the card tab.
Copy the card details.
Open Apple Wallet.
Select the “plus” button in the top right corner.
Select Credit or Debit Card.
Choose to enter your details manually option.
Paste your card details from your clipboard.
Agree to the terms and conditions.
Click on Call Shakepay.
Your card will be added to your Apple Pay wallet!
If your card doesn't get activated after pressing Call Shakepay, make sure to call from the same phone number as listed on your account.
Ensure that your phone number is registered with Shakepay and linked to your account. The caller ID must be enabled during the call to complete the verification process successfully.
When I click Call Shakepay, my card doesn't get added to my wallet or my card doesn't get activated
If you are not able to activate your card, verify your card on Apple Pay wallet or asked to contact issuer when calling Shakepay, please try these steps:
Make sure you are calling from the same phone number as listed on your Shakepay account.
If your phone number appears as a private caller ID, you will need to temporarily "show your phone number" to activate the card. Our system activates the card based on the number you are calling from.
If you have 2 sims, remove the one which is not associated to your account.
If you need to update your registered phone number, you can do so through your Shakepay account profile settings. Note that after updating your number, there will be a 24-hour restriction on sending funds from the account.
How to remove the Shakepay Card from Apple Pay
If persistent setup or verification issues arise, you can cancel your current Shakepay Card from the Card Settings in the app and request a new one. Once the new card is available, add it to Apple Pay using the provided steps.
Go to your phone settings and click on Wallet & Apple Pay.
Tap on the Shakepay card.
Scroll to the bottom.
Click on Remove this card.
